Routine Life of KEVIANS

Everyday runs like this

1. Wake up and get ready.

2. Eat your breakfast in a hurry.

3. Run out to see your school vehicle waiting.

4. Reach school, throw your bag on your seat.

5. Rush to assembly hall/ field.

6. Chant 'Daya kar daan vidya ka...' 

7. Take the pledge. Place your hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you just to annoy him.

8. Do the parade on the leader's instructions 'a tension!', 'standatease!' (Attention/ Stand at ease)

9. Sing the regional song without understanding a word. Start fearing that you'll get caught after assembly for your long nails or dirty shoes.

10. Lip sync to the songs that follow.

11. Stand erect for national anthem. 

12. Shout JAI when the leader mouths the slogan 'Bharat mata ki'

13. If it's a special day, sit where you're standing. There will puppet show/ magic show.

14. Get bored in the puppet show and pull pranks on your friends.

15. Go to class and wait for the teacher. 

16. Get bored of waiting and go to the desk of your friend and start playing some board game or simply chat.

17. Run for your life when teacher enters.

18. Worry about not bringing the book/ notebook that the teacher had asked to bring. Get thrown out of the class. Stand out with your friends.

19. In the lunch, run around in the gallery although it is forbidden. Run into the vice-Principal and get slapped.

20. Eat Samosas from the canteen. Let your friend pay.

21. Get through the day somehow.

22. In the SUPW class, ask the teacher to take you outside for Sports by shouting- 'Sir, Games, pleaase Gaaames!'

23. Try to sit near the girl you like while returning. If she smiles at you, try to act cool. Lose your cool and start blabbering.

24. Reach home, pick up your cricket bat and run to the field.

25. Return tired and forget to do your homework

26. Watch TV, sleep.

Repeat!

Moments that counts in KV

School days have always been the best part of life for every one of us. And why not, these are the most memorable days one can ever have with so many funny and crazy moments. And if you have been a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya school, you will always have these nostalgic and unforgettable moments which you will carry in your heart forever.

1. That moment when you had to sing early morning prayer

“Asatomaa sad gamaya….Tamasomaa jyotirgamaya….Mrityormaa amritam gamaya….”

How can you forget this morning prayer? Did you ever open our eyes in the middle of the prayer just to see if others were really singing? I am sure you did.

2. The four school houses: Raman, Shivaji, Ashoka, and Tagore and the competition among them.

Which one was yours? Remember getting disappointed when you and your best friend were not in the same houses and you wish you were together.

3. We all were pretty excited in extra curricular activities as we called CCA.

Participating in various activities like recitation, dancing and singing competition, debate,  sports, and waiting for the result the very next day was a big excitement .

4. Singing “goooood morrrninng sir/madam….” in the same tune when a teacher enters the classroom.

5. That weird feeling when you reach late in the school and stand outside the gate while others are offering prayers in the assembly ground.

6. Getting excited and running to our seats when the teacher comes with a bundle of unit test paper.

7. That moment when you requested the teacher to give game class as soon as he/she enters the classroom. And your teacher said NO…!

8. Bunking the mass PT by hiding in all the possible areas and having fear of getting caught by teachers.

We were too small to understand the purpose of exercise.

9. The 30 mins lunch break was never enough. We needed more. And do you remember how we rushed into the classroom not to miss the attendance?

10. The two days annual function was always long awaited.

Staying away from books and enjoying all that beautiful dance performances by students, prize distribution, and eating snacks were such a fun.

Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) is the place where students from different communities feel the togetherness under one roof.
